This adapter allows you to use the Veritas MK.II honing guide for precise sharpening of mortise chisels. It increases the distance between the roller and the blade holder to accommodate thick mortise chisels up to 17.5 mm (11/16 inch) thick.
The adapter fits the holder for narrow blades and is designed so that you can set the typical bevel angles for mortise chisels, ranging from 30° to 35°, using the angle setting guide. It is cast from a zinc-aluminum alloy.
