There are many grinders on the market, but only a few are wet grinders. Only wet grinders ensure that the cutting steel does not heat up during sharpening, thereby not limiting its usability. The new TORMEK T-8 (since May 2016) features further improvements over the older model T-7 with its cast iron housing and integrated sleeves for the universal support.

The TORMEK T-8 is designed for craftsmen and demanding DIY enthusiasts. It has a robust housing made of 3 mm steel sheet, a carrying handle, and a 200-watt industrial motor designed for continuous operation. The main shaft in this model is made of stainless steel.

The TORMEK T-4 with a plastic housing gives you access to Tormek’s high-quality grinding system at a more affordable price and is ideal for grinding all types of hand-cutting tools, as well as knives and scissors. However, the motor of the T-4 is only allowed to run for 30 minutes per hour.
