Tormek’s new holder for small knives, the SVM-00, makes it possible to sharpen really small blades, which has been difficult until now. Normally, small blades are sharpened freehand, but this can be hard on the wrists and it is always a challenge to achieve a consistent bevel and maintain the desired edge angle.
Now, you can sharpen small carving knives, detail carving knives, and pocket knives with perfect control over the bevel and edge angle. Since it is the knife handle that is mounted in the SVM-00 holder, there is no limit to how thin the blades can be that you want to sharpen.
