Stubai carving tools

The sculpting tools from the Austrian manufacturer STUBAI are distinguished by their good edge retention and easy sharpenability. The focus on essentials excludes manufacturing processes that do not affect quality. Therefore, the tools are delivered with a forged surface and are well pre-sharpened. STUBAI refrains from polishing the surfaces, giving the tools a very pleasant rustic appearance. The octagonal beechwood handle, which thickens towards the back, sits comfortably in the hand. Stubai tools are hand-forged, so there will always be slight variations in measurements!

These wood carving tools are well-proportioned overall, meaning a narrow tool also has a correspondingly short shaft and a smaller handle. The carving tools are differentiated by cuts, the higher the number, the more curved the cutting edge is. For instance, a tool with cut 1 has a straight cutting edge, cut 3 has a slightly curved cutting edge, and cut 11 has a strongly curved cutting edge. Additionally, there are tools with cut 1 that are angled. V-tools have their own numbering. Cut 41 represents an angle of 60°.
