Originally designed as a pipe saw for flush cutting, this saw also proves its worth as a Kugihiki, benefiting from its long and flexible blade as well as the straight handle. The lack of set means there is no risk of scratching delicate surfaces. Therefore, it can also be used as a dowel saw or for flush cutting of tenons.
