With the help of this dowel plate, you can create dowels of any length; exactly as you need them. Simply drive a piece of wood, slightly larger than the desired diameter of the dowel, through the dowel plate. The sharp edge of the hole in the A2 steel insert cuts away the excess material effortlessly.
The mounting plate, with a diameter of 76 mm (3 inches), has two holes for permanent attachment (but you can also use it over one of the dog holes in your workbench). The interchangeable inserts lock securely into the mounting plate. You need at least one mounting plate and one insert of the appropriate size to produce dowels.
