The SENJU is a very popular smoothing plane with an iron made from the proven Blue Paper Steel (Aogami No. 1). This cutting layer is forge-welded with a soft iron, for which anchor chains from the 19th century are used. The soft surface of the backing layer is hand-hammered.
The body is made of white oak.
