The skewed iron allows for a smooth pulling cut – no jerky catching of the blade in the wood! This plane is available in both left-hand and right-hand versions. This is not only to satisfy the different needs of right- and left-handed users but also to provide the option, when these planes are used as a pair, to always plane with the grain and never against it. The plane body is made of white oak. You can get this plane in two widths.
The iron is laminated and approximately 7 mm thick, with the cutting edge made from „Blue Steel,” a modified carbon steel. A chip breaker makes it easier to produce ultra-fine shavings.
