The MIKI smoothing plane features an iron made from powder metallurgy HSS steel. The durability is even better than that of AOGAMI No. 1 steel. This plane is particularly suitable for working with hardwood and even engineered wood materials. The body is made of white oak. Note: these plane irons have a smooth mirror side and do NOT come with the hollow grind typical of Japanese plane irons.
