Initially, we were skeptical when we were offered these extremely affordable Japanese planes. Could there be reasonable quality at this price? We had some of the small bench planes from this product line tested by carpenters – all of them praised the quality of the iron. It is easy to sharpen and holds its edge very well. The wooden block is somewhat rustic and requires some reworking. The irons are forged from two layers of steel.
These handy small planes, in an affordable and good design, assist with many special tasks where other tools may not suffice. A great addition to your other Japanese tools!
