The coated phenolic resin used by JessEm is the ultimate material for router tables. Phenolic resin is one of the hardest, most stable, and durable materials available for professional work surfaces.
The 19 mm (3/4 inch) thick board is very dimensionally stable. It does not warp or bend. The material also cannot swell or rust. Phenolic resin is therefore the perfect material for woodworking and significantly superior to the widely used melamine.
The Mast-R-Top router table top already features the appropriate cutout for JessEm’s Rout-R-Lift II, Mast-R-Lift II, Rout-R-Lift Prestige, or Rout-R-Plate. Additionally, all MagnaLock plates from Incra fit as well.
The underside already has the appropriate holes for JessEm’s TA Fence, Mast-R-Fence II, Mast-R-Fence III, and the JessEm stand. The plate also features an embedded aluminum track. This includes both a T-slot (6.35 mm, ¼ inch) for attaching jigs or safety devices with hex screws or matching T-nuts, and a standard slot (19 mm, ¾ inch) for guiding fences. The router table top comes with 26 pieces of 10-24 x ½ inch Torx head screws for mounting to the stand, along with a matching screwdriver.
