With the brand new Mast-R-Fence III, JessEm has now introduced a very special router fence. Made 100% in Canada, this router fence has once again raised the bar for standard router fences. The new Mast-R-Fence III offers extraordinary functionality and looks so outrageously good that any woodworker’s heart will inevitably skip a beat at the sight of it.
For the design, JessEm chose a solid platform as a starting point: a red phenolic resin base plate, which with its 100% flat surface, satisfies every woodworker. The surfaces of the precision-engineered 6061 aluminum extrusions are black anodized. Instead of settling for the commonly used clamping screws with plastic grips found on other fences, JessEm has taken a step further with machined grips made from 6061 aluminum. The fence is entirely made of stainless steel and other components that maintain its extravagant appearance for a lifetime.
To make the fence stand out from the crowd, JessEm opted for maple glide surfaces, which are cut, machined, and laser engraved. These glide surfaces can be adjusted tool-free with convenient thumb screws on the back of the fence. The dust port has an inner diameter of Ø 57 mm (2-1/4 inches) and an outer diameter of Ø 63.5 mm (2-1/2 inches) for connection to a dust extraction system. Included in the delivery are JessEm’s unique spacer bars. These two aluminum bars are laser engraved and offset the left glide surface of the fence forward by 0.8 mm (1/32 inch) or 1.6 mm (1/16 inch), depending on orientation. When not in use, the bars can be stored in a convenient holder on the back of the fence.
JessEm’s Micro Adjuster (04550) is also compatible with the new Mast-R-Fence III and seamlessly integrates into the fence’s appearance.
