Product information
These versatile angles are somewhat inadequately described as „clamping angles.” In the absence of a better idea, we will retain this designation, as it is justified insofar as most users will likely use these angles primarily in the described function.
These clamping angles in the form of a right-angled triangle are made of black anodized aluminum. The legs are just under 90 mm long. The material thickness is a good 18 mm. This material thickness allowed for the installation of two embedded magnets at the edges of the legs. Two supplied steel plates measuring 90 × 25 × 5 mm, placed on the edges and held by the magnets, serve as a stop. Two 55 mm long cutouts allow for the attachment of clamping angles (more below). One side is equipped with an easily readable metric 80 mm scale, and the other side with a 3-1/4 inch scale. A round hole in the center with a diameter of 19 mm allows for use in conjunction with 19 mm bench dogs; threaded through a workbench, they serve as a broad stop during clamping.
The application is varied. Precise 90° and 45° settings can be made on machine tables, for example, on a circular saw. Thanks to its magnets, the angle is held on all tables made of ferromagnetic material. Even on non-magnetic tables, the angle stands due to its material thickness of 18 mm and does not tip over like thinner angles. Checking the right angle on cabinets, drawers, and shelves during gluing is simple and quick with this extremely handy angle. By attaching the two steel plates to the magnets, the angle becomes a stop angle that allows for easy marking. It is also very well suited as a miter angle.
As an indispensable accessory, we recommend the 2-piece set of clamps, which is available separately.
