Titebond
III Ultimate Wood Glue 8oz (226g)

Product information

Titebond III Ultimate Wood Glue is the first one-component, water-cleanable wood glue that is proven to be waterproof. The water resistance meets the requirements of the ANSI/HPVA Type I test. The glue offers superior bonding strength, a long open time, and low application temperatures.

Titebond III is non-toxic and solvent-free. Excess liquid glue can easily be removed with water. This makes the use of Titebond III significantly safer than traditional waterproof glues. Titebond III offers strong initial tack, is easy to sand without softening, and has been approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) for indirect food contact (such as in cutting boards). The ultimate wood glue – perfect for both interior and exterior applications.

Physical Properties
Type:Advanced Proprietary Polymer
State:Liquid
Color when dry:Light brown
Storage life:24 months in tightly closed containers at temperatures below 23°C
Minimum application temperature:8°C
Application Guidelines
Application temperature:At least 8°C
Open time:8-10 minutes (at 21°C and 50% humidity)
Clamp time:20-25 minutes (at 21°C and 50% humidity)
Coverage:Approximately one liter per five square meters
Clamp pressure:The applied pressure should be sufficient to bring the parts to be glued into direct, full contact. (Typically about 0.7 – 1.0 N/mm² for softwoods, 0.9 – 1.2 N/mm² for medium hardwoods, and 1.2 – 1.7 N/mm² for hardwoods)
Glue application:For small-scale bonding, direct application from the plastic bottle is sufficient. The glue can also be applied with a brush or glue roller.
Cleanup:While the glue is wet, cleanup can be done with a damp cloth. Dried glue can be removed with a scraper and sandpaper.
Limitations
Not suitable for parts that are continuously under water or below the waterline. Not for load-bearing or structural (constructive) bonding. Only use when the glue itself, the workpieces, and the environment are at least 8°C. Store below 24°C. Storage at higher temperatures may cause the glue to thicken and affect shelf life. If the glue has thickened, shake it vigorously by tapping the bottle on a firm surface until it returns to its original consistency. Since each wood has a different surface, a bonding test should always be done first. Read the safety data sheet before use. Protect from frost. Keep out of reach of children.
Warning Notes
Special warnings are not necessary. For more information, see the safety data sheet.
