These dovetail saws are designed in the same style as the Veritas dovetail and backsaws. The blade is made from carbon steel, measuring 200 mm in length, 0.4 mm in thickness, and features a set of 0.08 mm on each side, resulting in a kerf of 0.56 mm. The rip saw has a tooth spacing of 1.3 mm, while the crosscut saw has a tooth spacing of 1.15 mm.
The rake on the rip saw is 14°, with an included angle of 60°. The included angle is the angle between the tooth back and the tooth face.
The rake on the crosscut saw is 15°, with an included angle of 60°. Additionally, the crosscut teeth have an alternating bevel angle (also known as „fleam”) of 15°, allowing the fibers at the outer edges of the cut to be sliced rather than merely torn.
Both saws have a cutting depth of 41 mm. To ensure good stability, the plastic spine with a steel insert is formed over both the blade and the handle tenon. The 108 mm long Bubinga handle is secured with a brass screw.
