The Veritas flush cut saw is designed to trim wooden dowels and plugs flush with a surface. It can be used wherever there is a need to saw off a part protruding from a surface without damaging the surface itself. The thin, flexible blade can be easily pressed against the surface, yet it is stiff enough to remain well-controlled. The blade features a Japanese tooth pattern with a tooth spacing of 1 mm (26 tpi) and cuts on the pull stroke. The teeth are not set, allowing it to glide over the surface of the adjacent workpiece without scratching it. Since the saw is unset, it can be used from both sides (from the left and from the right), and it also does not tend to wander. Therefore, you can also use this saw for other applications where fine cuts are required.
