For cutting dovetail slots. The holes in the blade allow you to screw on a strip as a depth stop. However, the VERITAS depth stop is much more elegant and also serves well with other saws. The saw blade cuts on the pull stroke! The blade is slightly set, meaning the teeth are alternately slightly bent to the right and left, making the kerf wider than the blade thickness. If needed, the existing kerf width can be slightly reduced. To do this, place a 1000-grit sharpening stone flat on the table and draw the saw blade with the teeth laying flat across the stone. Be sure to treat both sides evenly. In this way, the kerf width can be reduced by 1/100 mm to 5/100 mm.
