Small Japanese Planes

Initially, we were skeptical when we were offered these extremely affordable Japanese planes. Can there be reasonable quality for this price? We had some of the small bench planes from this product line tested by carpenters – all praised the quality of the iron. It is easy to sharpen and holds its sharpness very well. The wooden block is somewhat rustic and requires refinement. The irons are forged from two layers of steel.

These handy little planes, available at an affordable price with good craftsmanship, assist with many specialized tasks where other tools might fail. A great addition to your other Japanese tools!

For many delicate tasks, small hand planes are indispensable. Japanese hand planes are not ready-to-use and require some adjustments from the user; in particular, reworking the mouth of the plane is necessary.
