The latest routing fence from JessEm. The TA Fence is the consistent further development of the Mast-R-Fence II. It is not only a prime example of good engineering but also extremely practical and equipped with many useful features that you can use on your router table.

A major improvement over the Mast-R-Fence II is the new fastening system with two tracks. With the TA Fence, you get a much more robust and stable system with adjustable scales. These can be set to the respective zero point, allowing for quick and reproducible adjustments. The TA Fence is entirely made of precisely machined 6061 aluminum with a black anodized surface. It glides smoothly in the guides and can be securely locked with a turn of the extra tall clamp screws. The clamp screws have also been improved and are now made from solid stainless steel.

In the effort to improve quality and ease of use, nothing about the entire fence remains unchanged. The auxiliary fences can be adjusted on the back of the fence with the same massive clamp screws. These two clamp screws are now also made of stainless steel and are much easier to use than their plastic predecessors. The connection for dust extraction remains unchanged from the Mast-R-Fence II. The inner diameter fits a 57mm (2-1/4 inch) suction hose, the outer diameter fits a 63.5mm (2-1/2 inch) suction hose.

The biggest advancement of the TA Fence is the absence of the shim rails for depth adjustment of the fence. These have been replaced by a few adjusters that push the left fence out by about 0.8mm with each full turn. You have to see and try it to understand how well it works. No more tinkering with shim rails, instead precise and repeatable adjustment of the fence with each turn of the adjusters. After adjusting, the system only needs to be secured with the help of two high-quality clamp screws.

Another practical detail is the adjustable cutter guard, which allows the cutter to be safely covered even when it is further away from the fence. For example, this makes it safe to rout grooves.

The TA Fence features significant improvements compared to the Mast-R-Fence but is also significantly more expensive. We believe that with the TA Fence, JessEm demonstrates what is possible in terms of quality and user-friendliness. A truly good product.
