This marking gauge with fine adjustment allows for precise setting.
In the image, you can see three knurled screws. The large brass knurled screw at the top loosens or secures the entire stop unit on the steel rod. After the marking gauge is roughly set, tighten this screw while holding the black middle knurled screw.
Now, hold the stop with your left hand and turn the rod with your right hand. The travel distance is a total of 4.8 mm. Then, use the stop securing screw (labeled „Veritas” at the bottom of the image) to tighten the stop.
Ensure that the stop securing screw is always loosened when turning the large brass knurled screw! The cutter wheel can be fully retracted, allowing this marking gauge to be stored upright.
