Thanks to a vernier, these marking calipers made of solid, stainless steel allow for reading and, when used in combination with a scribing knife or needle (not included), marking with high precision.
For this purpose, the 0-mark of the vernier is roughly aligned to the desired measurement by sight. Then, the rear part is clamped onto the ruler with the fine adjustment screw. Subsequently, the movable stop is precisely positioned over the vernier by turning the finely knurled round nut. Now, the front part is also clamped. Determining a measurement is done analogously.
Easily readable engraved scale with millimeter division. Thus, there is no risk of abrasion, as with printed markings. The scribing edge also has a scale, with the 0-mark located centrally.
Well-suited for workpieces with clearly defined edges, less suitable or not suitable for beveled or rounded edges due to the low stop height.
Delivered in a sturdy, well-padded plastic box.
