Reference plate made of granite for precise measurements, e.g., for checking the flatness of plane soles or the squareness of edges. It offers an accuracy of 3 μm (1 μm „micron” = 0.001 mm) measured from a corner point of the surface. This means the maximum deviation from the target is only 1/33 of otherwise common competing products.
Material and coloration, over which we have no influence, may vary. It is mostly a lighter stone whose surface, except for the bottom, may have taken on a noticeably darker color through final fine grinding/polishing.
If necessary, depending on the installation location, it may be sensible to equip the underside of the plate with rubber buffers or a full-area compensating, non-slip material (not included!) to provide a gentle and better stand for the surface.
