JessEm once again steps off the beaten path with its measuring tools and ventures into functional new territory with these precision squares.
The blade, crafted from hardened stainless steel 301, features etched and laser-engraved markings that hold up even with daily use. This ensures that readability, unlike merely printed scales and numbers, is practically guaranteed for a lifetime. With a matte finish, it’s non-glare and very easy to read.
The long arm is equipped with patented flexible tabs (Flex Grip). These have a special roughened texture that provides a secure grip on almost any surface softer than the steel of the ruler, even with surprisingly little pressure. In concrete terms: no more slipping while marking or scribing!
In addition to scales with millimeter divisions on the inner and outer edges, the blade includes scribe notches for mechanical pencils, for example, allowing you to draw lines 1 mm parallel to a workpiece edge.
The short arm, made of solid aluminum and serving as a stop, features grip recesses and an extendable tab that prevents tipping at edges. The tab locks firmly into park and work positions. The generous width of the stop provides a stable stance, important for example on machine tables.
Due to the unusually high accuracy, these squares leave even prominent and more expensive competitor products far behind. To ensure the tight tolerances, each square undergoes rigorous quality controls.
In addition to their functionally convincing properties, they also score points in terms of haptics and aesthetics: matte stainless steel combined with matte black anodized aluminum. Pure understatement!
