With the Milescraft EuroHingeJig, mounting concealed hinges, as commonly used in Europe, is no longer a problem. This practically self-aligning template is suitable for both frameless cabinets and face frame cabinets, featuring settings for many common hinge types and cup positions. It also includes a feature that assists in positioning and mounting the door onto the cabinet.
Two edge alignment knobs position the cup hole from the edge of the door, while the edge alignment pin sets the distance from the top or bottom.
The drill guide with a metal bushing locks securely into the jig using a bayonet lock, ensuring a precisely positioned hinge hole.
The metal guide bushings integrated into the body of the jig allow for pre-drilling pilot holes at four common positions, ensuring the hinges sit exactly where they should, allowing the door to close neatly.
Easy adjustment of the drilling depth for the hinge hole is possible using the supplied carbide-tipped Forstner bit, with the use of the included depth stop.
The hinge marking aid allows for the transfer and marking of the center lines and hinge positions onto the cabinet wall.
With the exception of the Forstner bit with depth stop, all other parts can be snapped onto the back of the base body made of robust, impact-resistant plastic. This keeps everything together, preventing quick loss.
This set includes everything you need, aside from the tools typically found in any workshop, to easily create precise cup holes. However, the work is particularly efficient when using two 2” Faceclamp 328696.
