This is the black version of the Veritas planes and part of their standard line. The plane body is made from ductile cast iron, the cap is die-cast, making it very torsion-resistant. The surface is black powder-coated.
The quality standards for this plane are set very high. The stainless steel fasteners for the various adjustments have been significantly refined. The contours of the knurled screws are elliptically designed, making them exceptionally pleasant to use. The cap has been completely redesigned and now fits not only precisely into the plane body but also feels very comfortable in the palm.
With fine iron adjustment and mouth adjustment.
