Product information
This plane is truly versatile. It is unrivaled for finishing rabbets, planing end grain, or refining wood joints. Additionally, it can be used like a normal one-handed plane.
The blade is beveled at 15°, allowing it to enter the wood more smoothly, as it is not immediately confronted with the full width of the cutting edge. This is especially noticeable with end grain. Since this plane is open on one side like a rabbet plane, with the cutting edge aligning precisely with the plane side, rabbets can be planed very cleanly. The adjustment screw at the back allows for easy and precise setting of both the blade feed and the lateral positioning. Three small screws in the sides at the height of the blade hold the blade in the desired position and prevent it from shifting during work. A scoring cutter in front of the blade prevents tear-out on difficult wood or when planing against the grain. This scoring cutter can be adjusted in both depth and width or can be retracted completely when, for example, planing with the grain or on a flat surface.
This plane is available in both right-handed and left-handed versions. Neither is intended to be used exclusively by right-handers or left-handers. If you have both planes, you are prepared for all grain directions.
