Product information
With a length of 115 mm, a width of 32 mm, and weighing less than 320 g, this plane truly earns its name. It is small and light enough to be carried all day in the pocket of your apron.
The iron rests with the bevel up in the plane bed and can be adjusted both in depth and laterally with a fully functional adjustment mechanism. This allows you to work much more precisely with this plane than you would expect from such a small tool. It is perfect for fine detail work — such as in model-making or instrument building — where a larger plane would be too unwieldy.
The large cap serves the same purpose as the often-seen squirrel-tail handle: it fits well in the palm and thus allows you to work comfortably, enduringly, and precisely. The iron made from PM-V11 steel is 21.4 mm wide and has a bevel angle of 20°. Along with the plane’s bed angle of 15°, this results in a cutting angle of 35°.
The plane is manufactured in Canada from cast iron.
