The SIMPLEX splitting axes from Halder combine two tools in one, a splitting axe and a soft-face hammer in absolute professional quality, offering significant cost savings compared to buying separately.
The high product quality is certified by the Board of Trustees for Forestry Work and Technology (KWF).
The drop-forged and tempered axe blade is ground and polished. The optimized wedge rails enhance the splitting effect and prevent jamming in the wood, making this version perfectly suited for splitting hardwood. The leather blade guard protects against injury during transport.
The superplastic insert with D50mm is a medium-hard plastic insert made from extruded, extremely homogeneous material. Compared to injected plastic inserts, it is significantly more wear-resistant and durable. Using this soft side during wedge work completely avoids the risk of injury from metal splinters; plastic and aluminum wedges have a significantly longer lifespan.
The malleable cast iron housing features an integrated handle protection sleeve, ensuring high break resistance.
The long-fibered, very stable hickory handle is lacquered and ergonomically shaped. The total weight is 2,840g.
According to the clever SIMPLEX principle, all components are replaceable and upgradeable. This not only saves money but also resources.
