A screw with a defective drive needs to be unscrewed, and the bit of your screwdriver quickly and securely turns the seemingly solid Phillips head of the screw into a circular hole during counterclockwise rotation? This is very frustrating because it makes removing the screw significantly more difficult. Traditional screw extractors are cumbersome to use, as the extractor alone is not enough. You also need a hammer, center punch, twist drill, caliper, and tap wrench — basically a whole toolset to achieve your goal. And if you’re not careful, the extractor might break just before you reach the desired result.
It’s simpler with a screw extraction plier or — if there is no lateral gripping surface left on the screw — with the special screw extraction tool from ENGINEER. You don’t need an additional toolset — at most, just a hammer for particularly challenging cases.
Additionally, the Japanese manufacturer ENGINEER offers screw extraction tools for a wide range of applications. Whether as a problem solver or a last resort — these tools have often led to success and allowed the screw to be removed after all.
