In addition to the usual range of applications for pipe wrenches, this model also offers the possibility of loosening tight screws. This is made possible by the special shape of the gripping jaws, which, in addition to the serration parallel to the jaw opening, also have a perpendicular serration that reliably prevents the screw head from slipping.
Operation is extremely simple: To open the pliers, press the push button (‘Push’), which is ideally positioned for right-handed users, and the jaw opening can then be varied over 10 locking steps. To close, simply move the handle without any further action. This adjustment mechanism can be operated intuitively and quickly over a wide range.
The dipped handle covers with a rough surface provide a good grip.
