Titebond Quick & Thick Wood Glue 8oz (226g)

Product information

Titebond Quick & Thick Multi-Surface Glue is the thickest and fastest-drying water-based adhesive for bonding porous and semi-porous materials. It is ideal for wood, pottery, ceramic, stone, glass, fabrics, leather, and most common crafting materials.

Titebond Quick & Thick offers high initial tack and dries quickly, yet allows for alignment of the workpieces. The clear glue line is stronger than the wood itself and is not affected by finishes.

Physical Properties
Type of Material:Polyvinyl acetate (thixotropic)
State:Liquid, high viscosity
Color of Dry Glue Line:Clear
Minimum Application Temperature:10°C
Shelf Life:24 months in tightly closed containers at temperatures below 23°C
Application Guidelines
Application Temperature:At least 10°C
Open Time:3-5 minutes (at 21°C and 50% humidity)
Clamp Time:10-15 minutes (at 21°C and 50% humidity)
Coverage:Approximately one liter per five square meters
Clamping Pressure:The applied pressure should be sufficient to bring the parts to be bonded into direct, full contact. (Generally, about 0.7 – 1.0 N/mm² for softwoods, 0.9 – 1.2 N/mm² for medium woods, and 1.2 – 1.7 N/mm² for hardwoods are sufficient)
Glue Application:For small bonding surfaces, direct application from the plastic bottle is sufficient. The glue can also be applied with a brush or glue roller.
Cleanup:As long as the glue is wet, cleanup can be done with a damp cloth. Dry glue can be removed with a scraper and sandpaper.
Limitations of Use
Titebond Quick & Thick Multi-Surface Glue is not suitable for exterior applications or any place where it may become wet. For such purposes, use Titebond III Ultimate Wood Glue or Titebond II Premium Wood Glue. Not for load-bearing or structural (construction) bonds. Not recommended for photos, washable garments, metals, plastics, and rubber. Use only when the glue itself, the workpieces, and the surrounding environment are at least 10°C. Freezing does not affect the function of this glue but may cause it to thicken. If the product has settled, shake or stir to achieve a uniform consistency. Since each wood has a different surface, always perform a glue test first. Read the safety data sheet before use. When using on wood before staining, thoroughly sand bonded areas. Protect from frost. Keep out of reach of children.
Warnings
Special warnings are not necessary. For more information, refer to the safety data sheet.
