This leather roll-up bag with 12 plastic compartments is suitable for a variety of tools, especially chisels, rasps, and files.
A common question arises as to whether the chisels should be placed in the fabric compartment with the blade or the handle first. Generally, chisels are inserted with the blade first, while carving chisels are placed the other way around to keep the blade visible. This prevents the need to remove all chisels when searching for a specific one.
We recommend: Place all chisels in the bag with the handle first, so you can always see which chisel you want to pick. When rolling up, the sturdy fabric positions itself between the blades, preventing them from knocking against each other. These roll-up bags are suitable for most of the chisels and carving chisels we offer. An exception is made for the carpenter’s chisels from Kirschen and MHG, whose handles are too thick. Please note the handle diameter specified in the chisel’s product description.
