These new carving chisels from MHG come with an oiled ash handle that is flattened on two sides to prevent rolling.
These tools are manufactured using a new forging process, which results in tools characterized by high edge retention, elasticity, and durability. With their high microstructure compaction and the heat treatment quality of the high-alloy material, performance characteristics are achieved that were previously reserved for hand-forged tools. The hardness is 61 HRC (+/- 1) across the entire usable length. The length specifications may vary by several millimeters.
