A screw with a damaged drive, and the bit of your screwdriver quickly and securely turns the seemingly solid Phillips head of the screw into a round hole while running in reverse? That’s very frustrating, as it significantly complicates the removal of the screw. Traditional screw extractors are cumbersome to use because the extractor alone is not enough. You also need a hammer, center punch, twist drill, caliper, and tap wrench – essentially a whole toolkit to get the job done. And if you’re not careful, the extractor might break just before reaching the desired outcome.
It’s easier with a screw extraction plier or – if there is no lateral grip surface left on the screw – with the special screw extraction tool from ENGINEER. You don’t need an additional toolkit – at most, a hammer for particularly difficult cases.
Additionally, the Japanese manufacturer ENGINEER offers screw extraction tools for a variety of applications. Whether as a problem solver or a last resort, these tools have often led to success and managed to remove the screw.
