The saw blades of the ECE saws can be interchanged at will, provided they are of the same length. The saw arms are made of beech wood. The crossbar is made of elastic, lightweight linden wood, and tension is applied with a wing screw on the threaded end of a 5 mm thick steel rod. ECE frame saws are characterized by their excellent workmanship. For all ECE frame saws, the distance between the saw blade and the center bar is approximately 110 mm. When the blade is turned 90°, the distance increases to about 130 mm. The specified saw blade length for the ECE saws refers to the total length of the saw blades!
