The VERITAS low-angle scraping plane has a low cutting angle (bevel 20° and an additional micro-bevel 25°) similar to the old wooden scraping planes from the 19th century. However, the depth of cut adjustment has been greatly simplified. Instead of adjusting the blade as was done in the past, it is fixed in this scraping plane and simultaneously forms the sole. Instead, to adjust the shaving thickness, the front piece is adjusted in height.
