Product information
This precise guide rail, to which any circular saw can be applied, makes cutting boards safe and easy. The angle and handle are securely riveted. Rubber pads on the underside effectively prevent slipping on the cutting material. The angle part, stop, and rail are made of lightweight aluminum, ensuring fatigue-free work even during extended use. The weight is only 920 g. The handle, made of ABS, is ergonomic and covered with soft elastomer, ensuring it never feels cold or uncomfortable, even in unheated rooms or outdoors during the colder months. The edge of the rail is made of stainless steel. For good readability of the scales, the rail is blue-coated and features white lettering. Since these guide rails are manufactured for the Japanese market and carpenters and joiners still use traditional units of measurement, there are two scales on the rail: in addition to metric, there is ‚Shaku’ (303 mm or 10/33 m) with subdivisions ‚Sun’ (30.3 mm or 1/33 m). The metric scale is the main scale on the edge, with ‚Shaku’ behind it, in the so-called second row. The Japanese manufacturer Shinwa guarantees an angular accuracy of 0.1 mm over the entire length of the rail. The total length of the rail is 63 cm, with an effective usable length (max. workpiece width) of 45 cm. To better position the circular saw or jigsaw on the workpiece, the rail extends 10 cm beyond the workpiece, as seen at the end of the rail in the lower part of the image. The rail itself is 82 mm wide and 6 mm high. The underside stop, which rests against the wood, is hollow and fitted with a knurled screw. An 8 × 8 mm strip (included) can be inserted into this hollow stop and secured with the knurled screw. This allows you to determine the distance between the rail and the cutting edge once, so you always know what distance to maintain from the mark for future cuts. Two holes in the angle part, to the right and left of the company logo at the bottom, provide a view of the underside stop. This allows you to easily see from above whether it is correctly positioned against the workpiece.
