If the performance and the wide range of available cut types and sizes of our more expensive precision files are not needed, this set of classic files with the most commonly used shapes and practical cut 2 is a good choice.
Good utility quality for general household use, for all those who prefer a traditional design with a wooden handle made of beech and a tapered brass ferrule over a modern plastic handle, whether it’s for aesthetic or tactile reasons.
The files have a medium length for typical applications, with the cut not extending to the nominal length. The nominal length is measured from the tip to the shoulder, excluding the tang. For the flat file, only one of the side surfaces is cut, which has the advantage that when using the top or bottom side of the file, an adjacent surface of the workpiece that is not to be processed is not affected.
The set consists of a flat file, a round file, and a half-round file. The files are made from carbon steel and hardened to 62 HRC.
