Although there is much sharpening machinery on the market, little of it is for wet sharpening. Only wet sharpening machinery offers the guarantee that the steel cutting edge will not be overheated in the process and thus have its usefulness reduced. And only TORMEK of Sweden has managed to develop a fully rounded system for handtool users that will meet virtually every sharpening need. The TORMEK T-7 is intended for professional craftsmen and the demanding hobbyist. It is in a sturdy 3 mm sheet metal housing, has a carrying handle and a 200 Watt industrial motor for long running.

The TORMEK T-3 is intended for the amateur working at home. Its motor is set not to run for more than 30 minutes per hour, and the housing is plastic. With the T-3 you get access to the Tormek high quality sharpening system at a favourable price and it is ideal for sharpening woodworking hand tools, knives and scissors.
When using your TORMEK grinding wheel, take care:
to empty the water container when the machine is not in use. Otherwise, one side of the stone will absorb water and it will be out of true as it revolves. The wobble can eventually lead to damage to the bearing.

Rotating Base RB-180
Rotate your Tormek!
Some tools are best sharpened with the stone running towards the edge and other tools should have the stone running away from the edge. With the new Tormek Rotating Base RB-180, you can easily rotate the machine 180° to select the ideal sharpening direction. It also makes it simple to switch from sharpening to honing!
A priority during the design process has been to make the RB-180 as thin as possible in order not to affect the working height. The rubber feet ensure it remains steady during sharpening. The RB-180 will fit the Tormek T-7 and T-3, the 2000 and 1200 Series plus the SA-250 and N-1500.

Rotate your Tormek!
Some tools are best sharpened with the stone running towards the edge and other tools should have the stone running away from the edge. With the new Tormek Rotating Base RB-180, you can easily rotate the machine 180° to select the ideal sharpening direction. It also makes it simple to switch from sharpening to honing!

Truing Tool TT-50
Trues the grindstone exactly round and flat. Guided by the Universal Support, which also guides the jigs. Screw feed with dual knobs for smooth feed across the stone. The cutting depth can be set within 0.25 mm (0.01 in.).
You can conveniently and without pressing with your thumbs feed the diamond cutter across the stone. You achieve an even feeding by alternately turning the two knobs with both your hands. The feed can be made in both directions. Thanks to the controlled feed, you get an even and flat stone surface with no ridges. There is no need to flatten afterwards with the Stone Grader SP-650. The slower you feed, the finer the surface you will achieve. A traverse time of 90 seconds across the stone gives you a good finish with hardly any visible grooves.
