Important notes on the use of the metric Hingecrafter (hinge maker)
These L-wrenches from Asahi have an extra short arm, allowing them to reach tight and especially height-restricted areas effectively. The short arm is only about half the length of a standard L-wrench. The arm length of the respective sizes is indicated in the tables below.
Just like the standard L-wrenches from Asahi, these L-wrenches also have a screw-holding function at the end of their long arm (from size 3 mm). This consists of a ball catch, whose ball is pushed outward by a spring, securely holding the screw due to the resulting tension.

8. Cut the hinges to the desired width.

An additional, very useful feature is the fact that these hex keys are bent in a completely different way than conventional hex keys. In conventional hex keys, the short arm is bent at one of the six faces of the hexagon. In these Asahi hex keys, the short arm is bent not at a face, but at an edge. This increases the contact points on the screw head, allowing you to turn the screw even under conditions where the use of a conventional hex key is no longer possible.

If you can only turn the wrench 30°, it gets tight with a conventional wrench.
