Heavy carpenter’s vises have become indispensable in many workshops, often replacing the traditional workbench. The advantage lies in their high flexibility: You can attach the vise to the part of the workbench where you truly need it, rather than being fixed, as with a workbench.
Additionally, these clamps come equipped with an extendable bench dog, allowing you to clamp on the surface of the workbench as well. As a complement, the round bench dogs from Veritas are recommended. A few drill holes in the workbench are enough to get started.
A great relief in work is the quick adjustment feature – pull the lever and push or pull instead of cranking, cranking, cranking... This quick adjustment works absolutely reliably and does not compromise stability.
