Iron Edge-Trimming Block Plane right handed 1/4 in. = 32mm
VERITAS - with PM-V11 blade

Product information
Edge planers are used for the final planing cut on already trued board edges to achieve a clean surface and an exact right angle to the board face. In the same way, you can also clean up the end grain edge. Typically, you only need one of these two planes, with the choice depending on whether you are right-handed or left-handed.
However, these planes are not exclusively right-handed or left-handed; rather, they complement each other in use. For example, if you have rising and falling grain direction on a board edge and only one side of the board serves as a reference for the right angle, you can work in the respective different direction with both planes.
The planes are made from ductile iron castings. Ductile ("stretchable") iron cast is not as brittle as conventional iron cast but is somewhat more prone to rust. The plane bed is 12°, and the iron is positioned at a 30° angle to the planing direction. The 3 mm thick and 32 mm wide iron allows for working on edges up to 25 mm wide.
The depth adjustment consists of a large knurled screw with iron support, allowing for precise settings. To the right and left of the iron, it can be reliably fixed with two adjustment screws to prevent shifting, for example, when encountering embedded knots.
Two holes in the fence allow for the attachment of wooden additions if, for example, a chamfer with a defined width is to be produced. The plane weighs approximately 630 g.
