In ancient Japan, the Kobiki-shokunin were those whose hard daily task was to saw logs lengthwise to provide the carpenter and joiner with the material needed to create their works.
Unfortunately, with the technological revolution, these saws gradually disappeared. However, the Temagori Nokogiri, which are very similar to the Kobiki but not as wide and stable, are still more readily available. They are mainly used for felling trees and sawing thick branches. We have Temagori Nokogiri in stock, specially manufactured for us, as these saws have become uncommon even in Japan.
The Anabiki Noko, or Anahiki-noko, is the saw for rough work: cutting beams at the ends or sawing firewood.
