In ancient Japan, the Kobiki-shokunin were those whose hard daily work involved sawing logs lengthwise to provide carpenters and joiners with the material needed to create their works.
Unfortunately, with the advent of the technological revolution, these saws gradually disappeared. However, the Temagori Nokogiri, which is very similar to the Kobiki but not as wide and stable, is still more readily available. They are primarily used for felling trees and cutting thick branches. We have Temagori Nokogiri in stock, which are specially made for us, as these saws have become uncommon even in Japan.
The Anabiki Noko or Anahiki-noko is the saw for rough work: cutting beams at the ends or sawing firewood.
We have some of these traditional saws for rough work available. By now, they are almost rarities.
