A new generation of axes for splitting wood. Master blacksmith Lars Enander developed an axe with the aim of making wood splitting easier and increasing the lifespan of such an axe. The result is impressive: a broad axe head with a concave profile that pushes the wood apart with minimal wood contact when splitting. The axe handle, made from high-quality hickory wood, is equipped with a steel handle protector to reduce wear and tear that occurs when the handle accidentally strikes the wood. The handle protector is pressed onto the handle and simultaneously onto the axe head with a pressure of about two tons. Do not use this splitting axe as a hammer or wedge.
