Micro-mesh sanding and polishing cloths are characterized by extremely long durability and unique sanding properties. There is a latex layer between the abrasive corundum and the fabric backing. This embedding allows for high mobility of the corundum, leading to optimal adaptation to the surface being sanded or polished. Scratches on the surface and uneven wear of the corundum are thus avoided, resulting in a significantly longer lifespan compared to other abrasives. When used dry, Micro-mesh lasts 5 to 7 times longer than conventional sandpaper, and when used wet, it lasts even 7 to 15 times longer.
Micro-mesh is excellently suited for manual processing and can be used with most oils or water. Solvents such as acetone are not suitable. It is best to work with Micro-mesh applying light pressure, as higher pressure does not increase abrasion or sanding speed. Micro-mesh should only be used dry if wet sanding is excluded due to material reasons. In such cases, appropriate protective measures against dust should be taken, especially during machine application.
