Product information
On the occasion of NAREX’s centennial anniversary, a new series has been launched, named after the founder of NAREX, Vaclav Richter. These chisels truly honor this jubilee.
The blade, made from chrome-vanadium steel, is traditionally forged, hardened, cryogenically treated, and tempered to achieve a minimum hardness of 62 HRC. The subsequent fine grinding and polishing create a high-quality glossy surface. The side bevels extend almost entirely to the back, allowing easy access to tight working areas. The back is very well ground flat, requiring minimal effort for a perfectly flat back. The bevel is ground at 24°, making it suitable for fine work and softwood. If a blunter angle is needed, such as for hardwood or when the chisel is heavily struck with a hammer, this can be easily achieved by grinding a secondary bevel.
The handle is made from European ash, a wood species well-suited for this purpose due to its hardness, toughness, and beautiful grain. The handle is ergonomically shaped and finely sanded. A stainless steel ferrule prevents the handle from splitting, and a leather washer dampens hammer blows. The largest diameter of the handle measures 31 to 32 mm across all sizes.
Included sizes:
¼ inch (6.35 mm)
