These Japanese chisels made from a particularly fine-grained HSS steel are considered the most robust chisels around – perfect for heavy-duty use in the workshop or on the construction site. Absolutely top-notch chisels even for tropical hardwoods! One customer wrote: "Goes into eucalyptus without any respect! Holds its sharpness incredibly long and is completely resistant!" For particularly tough demands, the bevel angle can be increased from 30° to 35° by grinding a secondary bevel.
The ferrule does not need to be worked on like with traditional chisels.
It is already deeply set at the factory and the wood is flared over it in a mushroom shape.
