High Precision Squares

From the angles on this page, you can expect increased accuracy. They serve various purposes such as setting up machines and checking the squareness of workpieces made from all kinds of materials. Additionally, limited by the length of the legs, the flatness of surfaces can be tested. With the hair angle, you can conduct a light gap measurement and thus immediately see the slightest deviations from the right angle or the flatness of a surface in backlight.

Tip: The light gap method does not provide an objective image! It only shows that there is an inaccuracy, but this can be as small as 1/50 mm. In many applications, such as checking the sole of a hand plane, this measurement is not relevant. Always check the thickness of the light gap with a feeler gauge – only then will you get results that are relevant in practice.
