The router has become perhaps the most versatile machine for woodworkers in recent years, thanks to accessories developed like router tables, router lifts, and router fences. The focus was on the fixed-base router, with the workpiece being moved. In a horizontal router table, the workpiece is clamped, and the router is moved in 2 axes. This is constructively solved using common linear guides and linear carriages from mechanical engineering, on which a plate construction with a mounted router is installed. 2 long linear guides with 4 linear carriages are used for movement along the workpiece. 2 short linear guides with 4 linear carriages serve as the router’s feed to the workpiece.
