This practical set is the worthy successor to the extremely popular Mini Turning Tools from Narex. At the same time, the manufacturer from the Czech Republic has enhanced its quality and functionality.
Now featuring easily replaceable carbide blades, specifically made from tungsten carbide, the set offers a significant improvement. Due to their immense hardness, the sharpness lasts significantly longer than typical tools made from HSS. Before a blade replacement is necessary, it is sufficient to reposition them. The laser-etched numbers prove helpful for clear identification. A suitable key is included with the set.
The concept of carbide replaceable blades has been proven over many years in the field of end mills. Now, it is no longer necessary to deal with the sometimes challenging task of resharpening turning tools or purchasing an appropriate grinding machine. Additionally, the blades come factory-sharp. If, after some time, the sharpness diminishes, the blade can be rotated or eventually replaced at a reasonable price. It doesn’t get faster or more convenient than this!
The shank of the tool holder, made from solid round steel, is flattened on the underside, providing stability and control during turning due to the wide contact area. It is crafted from finely polished stainless steel, as is the sturdy ferrule.
The high-quality appearance of these turning tools is complemented by the comfortably gripped handles made from waxed beech. The set is primarily suitable for smaller tasks but also proves useful for smaller hands due to the comparatively smaller diameter of the handles.
The set contains 3 turning tools with the following blade types:
Square:
Roughing tool mainly used for quick material removal. Slightly rounded sides also allow for smoothing curves.
Round:
Finishing tool for shaping and smoothing.
Rhombus:
Tool for turning narrow grooves.
The set is delivered in an attractive box, and a Torx T15 key for replacing the carbide blades is included in the delivery.
